What's wierd is that when I used just the minijack on my laptop it came sound. Open to any suggestions. Jan 12, 1 0 4, 1. I had the exact same problem. Brand new hyperx cloud 2, windows I saw in device manager that the usb soundcard was being detected but not showing up in playback devices.
I went in control pannel - troubleshooting - troubleshoot audio playback.
My Kingston hyperx cloud 2 have no sound when I use usb
It started scanning the usb ports and recognized the soundcard. Then in playback devices set headset as default playback devices. That did the trick for me.The HyperX Cloud Flight S brings Qi wireless charging while also delivering on the two most important fronts for a gaming headset: audio output and comfort. It provides big, dynamic sound, and its virtual 7. It serves up that familiar HyperX comfort thanks to its thickly padded earcups and headband, and the four new controls are welcome additions.
The downside is compatibility — without Bluetooth or a 3. HyperX with Qi wireless charging and 7. In addition to new charging and audio features, the Cloud Flight S also delivers some new and interesting design elements. The red accents of the previous Cloud Flight have been replaced by plain white.
The previous Cloud Flight also had a red wire peeking out from the top of each earcup, and that flourish is gone for a cleaner look for the Cloud Flight S. Setting up the Cloud Flight S is a snap. Just plug in the included USB wireless transmitter and you are good to go.
The USB dongle transmits via a 2. Without a 3. The Cloud Flight S is constructed mostly from plastic with a metal band that runs inside the headband. Those plastic forks are the weakest link in the design and will be the thing that snaps should you toss the headset in anger after a tough loss. With soft, memory foam padding covered in synthetic leather on the earcups and underside of the headset, the Cloud Flight S sits comfortably on your head and against your ears.
The fit is snug without being too tight. The earcups telescope 1. And when you take a break, the earcups rotate so that they lie flat against you when you rest the headset around your neck — always an appreciated design touch.
The Cloud Flight S is, however, on the heavier side of the headset weight spectrum — the coil needed for wirelessly charging adds a bit of weight. It weighs grams with the microphone attached grams without the mic. In comparison, the similar Cloud Flight weighs grams with the microphone attached and grams without it. By default, the two on the sides let you adjust the balance between game and chat volume.
The top indent controls sidetone, and the bottom mutes the mic. The version in the Microsoft Store is newer it is listed as a beta and picked up the Cloud Flight S with no issue. The app is very basic. You can adjust the volume levels, toggle sidetone and 7. The only reason to use the app is to customize what the buttons do on the left earcup and to check to see if 7. The app would be a lot more useful if it added an equalizer so you could custom tune the sound of the headset.
Next to the power button is a status LED that lets you know when the headset is powered on and connected. The audio drops out for a second when you hit the button to toggle between stereo and surround sound, but it would also be nice to know what setting is currently being used when you pick up the headset.
With CS:GO, the difference between stereo and surround sound was striking. I got such a better sense of space in 7. The sound field sounded enormous and made the 3D space seem so much more realistic. By comparison, stereo sound was muddy and made it more difficult to understand every word among the chatter from my teammates.1995 saturn fuse box diagram hd quality value
Both scenarios deliver a huge sound field with enemy fire and effects easily located. The game sounded brighter and crisper with greater separation between low frequency explosions and the highs of gunfire. With both games, I did not experience any lag in the audio. It stayed locked in, even during the most chaotic battles in Overwatch. I tested the mic by making a voice recording, which sounded average at best. This model comes equipped with Qi wireless charging — a first for gaming headsets — as well as excellent wireless performance, good sound quality and clever ear-cup controls.
The Cloud Flight S offers a few frustrations, too. Wireless charging is not nearly as seamless as it should be, the microphone leaves a lot to be desired, and the headset isn't compatible with all that many systems.
Still, the headset is mostly a joy to use, and well worth the admittedly high asking price. The Cloud Flight S is somewhat similar to the original Cloud Flight, although not as much as the names might suggest. Whereas the earlier model featured striated ear cups, red highlights and loose wires in the headband, the Cloud Flight S is a much more low-key, elegant device. It's almost all black plastic, with an adjustable, notched headband and a white "HX" logo on either ear cup.
The left ear cup is where most of the special features live, including a detachable, flexible mic, a power button, a 7. But what's more interesting are the four circular indentations that dot the left ear cup like directions on a compass rose.
These are one of my favorite parts of the Cloud Flight S, as they give you lots of options without being obtrusive in the slightest. On the right ear cup, there's a volume dial, and that's it. It's well-placed, and easy to find without looking. Thanks to its plush ear cups and padded headbands, I found the Cloud Flight S extremely comfortable to wear for hours at a time.
While rigid, unnumbered notches aren't my favorite way to adjust a headset, I quickly found a good fit, and didn't have to mess around with the sizing again until I handed the device to a co-worker. After using it herself, my co-worker agreed with my assessment, explaining that the headset was comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. She liked the placement of the volume controls in particular. In every case, the soundscape was robust and nuanced, from the impassioned pleas of Lara Croft's friends, to the shots fired from Ashe's shotgun, to the clanks of armor at a medieval blacksmith.
HyperX has also optimized surround sound for a number of games. Most games are developed with stereo sound, and 7. As such, HyperX has developed algorithms for improved surround sound with games such as Apex Legends, Fortnite and Overwatch. I didn't think these options provided much better experiences than traditional stereo sound, but it's a good option to have, at least.
This software is profoundly OK, combining a bare-bones interface with a number of useful features.Eclipse c dark theme
As mentioned above, you can reprogram the left earcup buttons with a variety of multimedia functions pause, play, fast-forward, rewind and so forthadjust the mic volume, toggle sidetone and change a few surround sound options. One disappointing thing about the software, however, is that there are no equalization options — even though the instruction sheet claims that Ngenuity lets you "customize EQ profiles. Then there's the wireless charging, which does work, although less smoothly than I would have liked.
HyperX claims that the Cloud Flight S works with any Qi charger, but in practice, it was quite difficult to activate. Wireless chargers from Nimble, Google and Mophie did not work at all — a charging pad from Cooler Master finally worked, only after extensive finagling.Buttons on the side of the headset are a little awkward Mic quality No Qi-charging base bundled.
The HyperX Cloud Flight S is a comfortable wireless gaming headset that executes on all the right features to be a solid multi-platform option. HyperX has been a mainstay in the gaming headset space for years, offering a headset in basically every market segment and price range. Does it stick the landing? This is a wireless gaming headset for the PC and Playstation 4and a pretty damn good one at that.
HyperX Cloud Flight S review
The Cloud Flight S is built on a predominantly plastic frame, with a single strip of metal running along the inside of the headband. The headband itself also features a comfortable memory foam cushion, and offers just the right amount of clamping force to feel secure without being too tight.
The thick ear pads and ample headphone hinges mean this should be comfortable for people with pretty wide heads. Getting the headset to fully work is as simple plugging it in. Actually using the Cloud Flight S is pretty easy, though it takes a little getting used to. The headset packs in a lot of controls, and its design saves space, but it feels a little odd at first. The volume dial and relatively high profile surround sound button are easy to find. Outside of that, my experience using the headset was largely positive.
I never had any issues with clarity chatting over Discord and Skype. The detachable boom mic sits on a sturdy wire arm and it was easy to position. According to HyperX, the headset maintains connection up to a range of 20 meters 65 feet. I found that largely reflected my experience, as it maintained a pretty steady connection from one end of my apartment to the other, with multiple closed doors in between.
HyperX claims the Cloud Flight S can last up to 30 hours of playback time on a single charge, and in our testing we found it exceeded that considerably. This is also the first HyperX headset to support wireless charging.
Put it on any Qi-compatible base and it will start to charge. HyperX is also launching its own Qi-charging base to support its growing stable of wirelessly charging products. This headset works great on both PC and Playstation 4. Playing games like Dauntless and the recently released Halo: The Master Chief Collection multiplayer on PC was a breeze, and the built-in surround sound worked well.We purchase our own headphones and put them under the same test bench, so that you can compare the results easily.
No cherry-picked units sent by brands. The HyperX Cloud Flight is a good, wireless gaming headset with a well-balanced sound quality. These headphones do not feel as durable as some of the other HyperX models, but they are fairly well built and comfortable.
They also have a great mic for voice chat, and they're wirelessly compatible with the PS4 and PCs but not the Xbox One. However, despite their outdoor friendly design, they will not be the best option for commuting or sports. Above-average for mixed usage. They have a well-balanced sound and very low latency for gaming and watching movies.
They also have a casual design that you can use outdoors since you can remove their mic and they're comfortable enough to wear for long listening sessions. Unfortunately, they do not isolate well in loud noisy environments and they're a little bulky and unstable so they won't be the best headphones to use while commuting or running.
On the upside, they're a good choice for gaming especially if you have a PS4 or game on PC since you can use them wirelessly with those devices. Good for neutral listening. They're comfortable and have a well-balanced audio reproduction with a good bass that rumbles without overpowering instruments and vocals in the mid-range. They can sound a bit sharp on some bright tracks due to the peaks in the higher-frequencies but overall they have a fairly even sound that should cater well to most songs and music genres.
Unfortunately, like most closed-back headphones they do not have very spacious soundstage which will not be ideal for more neutral listeners but should be good enough for most. Average for commuting. The HyperX Cloud Flight do not block a lot of noise which is not ideal for the loud environments involved in commuting.
They also do not have a control scheme when using them with your phone. On the upside, they have a casual closed-back design that is more suitable for outdoor use than typical gaming headsets.
They're also not limited by their USB transmitter since you can use them wired with most devices while on the go. Average for sports. The HyperX Cloud Flight are not made for sports but are decently stable enough for jogging.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Change language. Install Steam. This topic has been locked.

That's all, your headset should sound way better than how it came from the box. Last edited by ysoof ; 20 Mar, pm. Showing 1 - 15 of 91 comments. You're welcome :D. This worked great. Thanks bro! Rabbit View Profile View Posts. I cant thank you enough.
This needs to be more known for people that have the Hyper X Cloud 2 Headset. And yeah they should at least come with a software for the headset. Mostly for the price. Again thank you so much! Plekpot View Profile View Posts. Thank you very much! Much much better. Just, if the equalizer dont work immediatly after having modified settings, that's because you didnt reboot after the installation :.

I have been looking for something like this. This gave me the ability to actually give me bass in the headset. You're welcome guys, just wanted to share this with everyone and not only keep it to myself. Last edited by ysoof ; 19 Jul, am. Originally posted by MaidrobX :. HyperX has long made some of the best gaming headsets around when it comes to wired sets, but can it compete in the demanding wireless arena? HyperX's wireless headset debut features the rich audio quality and best-in-class comfort that the company's cans are known for, all wrapped up in a lightweight package that has long battery life and plug-and-play compatibility with both PS4 and PC devices. The Flight isn't the most stylish or feature-rich headset in its price range, but it just might be the coziest.
Despite being HyperX's highest-end headset, the Cloud Flight touts a pretty basic design that favors function over form. The Cloud Flight has a simple black plastic construction, accentuated only by small red wires on the sides, as well as a light-up HyperX logo on each ear cup. With a quick tap of the power button, you can toggle the red LED lights to glow without blinking, pulsate in and out or remain off to conserve battery life.
I still don't quite get the point of external ear cup lighting, but I suppose it'll help you stand out on a stream or at a tournament. The Flight's power button, micro USB charging port, 3.
You can mute the mic by simply pressing in the left ear cup, which I found to be a nice touch. However, once I put the Flight on, those performance trade-offs proved more than worthwhile. The Cloud Flight is fittingly named; I barely noticed its incredibly lightweight, For comparison's sake, the Arctis 7 is about 10 ounces; the ManO'War, a heavier Combine that with HyperX's signature faux-leather, memory foam ear cups, and you have quite possibly the comfiest headset in the company's arsenal — and that's saying a lot.
Plus, unlike most other HyperX headsets, the Cloud Flight's ear cups swivel side to side, making them more suited to travel. The Cloud Flight offered balanced, immersive sound, whether I was battling it out in multiplayer games or getting lost in solo adventures. HyperX's headset made an excellent companion to the visceral superhero brawling of Injustice 2. Everything from the highs of Robin's sharp sword slices, to the deep lows of Superman slamming an opponent to the ground sounded rich and satisfying.
Tiny details, such as the subtle clank of Batman's boots during the game's intro sequence, came through clearly. I could easily pinpoint where enemy footsteps and gunfire were coming from, and my grenade explosions and rifle shots sounded incredibly punchy.
When I switched gears to the more atmospheric action of Rise of the Tomb RaiderI was thoroughly immersed in the game's stunning Syrian tombs.
Small environmental details such as waterfalls, birds and insects came through as clearly as big noises, such as gunshots and explosions, making it easy to get lost in Lara's adventure.
